The biggest names in cinema have been announced as the biggest films to be released in 2019, and it looks like some of them have a lot to do with time.
In the latest issue of National Geographic, the magazine is offering up some exciting information about upcoming releases, as well as predicting which movies will be the most talked about of the year.
“In 2019, we’ll see the rise of an underground cinema, and this underground cinema will bring new and exciting movies to the cinema,” National Geographic co-founder and CEO Ed Catmull tells EW.
“This underground cinema has been the most discussed and most talked-about film of the past year, and we expect it to be the year’s biggest, most talked thing.
And it’s going to be amazing.”
For 2019, the most anticipated movies include Star Wars: The Last Jedi, The Shape of Water, Jurassic World, The Big Short, and The Revenant.
And for those that missed out on the first two movies, there’s also The Fate of the Furious, which is slated for release on December 13.
For 2019 also has some great indie and western films, including Star Wars Episode IX, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and Gravity, which will arrive in theaters on November 16.
And of course, the next big blockbuster will be The Martian, which hits theaters on January 6, 2019.
